Close friends and family travelled from Japan and the bay area to celebrate May and Aki's wedding in Sonoma. The couple wanted their guests to experience a true "California" wedding and fell in love instantly when they saw the rolling hills of vineyards at Gundlach-Bundschu. The ceremony included a wine ritual where the bride and groom mix a red and a white wine together, signifying the blending of the two families. Toasts were shared in Japanese and English. Aki works for a company who develops vegan alternative food products, and the couple wanted a clever way to incorporate these with the wedding. "Just" foods provided a variety of dips for the appetizers and vegan cookies. And, the couple valued high-quality food and wine for their guests! Fairmont Sonoma catering team worked hand-in-hand to provide an amazing, multi-course feast paired with Gundlach-Bundschu's wines, along with a custom menu featuring English on one side and Japanese on the other. As the guests headed through the wine cave at the end of the night, the couple handed out custom olive oil gifts and thanked each person personally. Photography & Videography | Lily & Lime
