How to Calculate Gratuity
Gratuity typically is 10-20%, or a flat fee that you are comfortable with. Most couples choose a percentage because it takes the guesswork out of figuring out flat fees. If anyone included an automatic tip in their invoicing, you do not need to tip them again.

- Florist
- Photographer
- DJ or Band
- Hair/Makeup
- Transportation
- Planner
- Rental Drivers: This could be $20-40 each for the people who will come to set-up (usually 3-4 people)
- Cake (if this is included with catering, no need to do this separately)
- Catering: A 10-20% on the food/beverage total (not service fee, rentals or tax) is typical, or $20-40 each for the staff on site that day (expect anywhere from 5-12 people)
- Bar: Since the bar is part of the catering, it could be included in the percentage, or a set tip for each bartender (2-3 people).
- Restroom Attendant (if applicable)
- Lighting
- Venue staff (typically 2-6 people)
- Videographer
- Any other "entertainment or activity" type vendor (face painter, fire dancer, performer, live musician, etc.)
