How to Calculate Gratuity

Gratuity typically is 10-20%, or a flat fee that you are comfortable with. Most couples choose a percentage because it takes the guesswork out of figuring out flat fees. If anyone included an automatic tip in their invoicing, you do not need to tip them again.
 
Vendors who typically receive gratuity:

1. Florist
   
2. Photographer
   
3. DJ or Band
   
4. Hair/Makeup
   
5. Transportation
   
6. Planner
   
7. Rental Drivers: This could be $20-40 each for the people who will come to set-up (usually 3-4 people)
   
8. Cake (if this is included with catering, no need to do this separately)
   
9. Catering: A 10-20% on the food/beverage total (not service fee, rentals or tax) is typical, or $20-40 each for the staff on site that day (expect anywhere from 5-12 people)
   
10. Bar: Since the bar is part of the catering, it could be included in the percentage, or a set tip for each bartender (2-3 people).
    
11. Restroom Attendant (if applicable)
    
12. Lighting
    
13. Venue staff (typically 2-6 people)
    
14. Videographer
    
15. Any other "entertainment or activity" type vendor (face painter, fire dancer, performer, live musician, etc.)
