 Autumn brings the abundance of nature’s bounty. In the wedding of Amaka and Steeve, the couple brings an abundance of joy and gratitude.Their inner glow radiated to give their decor and color palette of burnt umber, vermillion, gold, and peach even more warmth and vibrance. Set in Park Winters in Winters, CA, where sycamore and magnolia trees were tinged with the hues of fall, and complemented by the floral artistry of wildflowers and dried grasses by Oak & Ash, the couple’s wedding celebration was truly grounded in the season. It represented the aesthetic principle of “anikothesi”, a term coined by the planning and coordination team of Tan Weddings & Events, meaning “belonging to time and place”. A unique feature to the wedding was a “Relationship Museum”. Amaka and Steeve treated their guests to an interactive display that commemorated their journey as a couple, featuring manequins wearing the clothing that the couple wore on their first date! Guests also sampled Nigerian fare during cocktail hour, which further added another layer of authenticity and personality to the event.
