 "Above you are the stars, below you are the stones," begins the Celtic blessing shared at Kali and Chase's wedding ceremony. At Fausel Ranch in Placerville, the couple and their wedding guests were indeed celebrating in that sacred space between heaven and earth. Earth was a secluded, wooded ranch estate in Placerville, CA, called Fausel Ranch. Tall pines, redwoods, and a meandering creek bordered a grassy expanse of lawn, with a bar, walkway, and guesthouse alongside its curving edges. The ceremony, cocktails, and reception were held on the lawn, where a dance floor and stage for a live band was set up. Kali, a wedding coordinator herself, shared her vision with her planner, Tan Weddings & Events. With a team of amazing creatives, and despite a last-minute venue change, Tan Weddings & Events pulled off a beautiful celebration! Heaven was the couple and their gathering of friends and family. Kali and Chase had asked Reverend Rick Tan, their officiant, to include the oathing stone ritual into the ceremony. Two stones from Fausel Ranch were held in each of the guests' hands, warmed by their love and support for the couple. The stones made their way forward just in time for the couple's exchange of vows. They held the stones, and according to Celtic lore, their vows were made sacred by holding these precious earth elements. The ritual became a metaphor for the harmony of heaven and earth.
