 Michelle and Chas flew in with 8 of their close family members from Virginia for a destination wedding in Napa Valley. They spent the week exploring the wine country and ended with a trip to Yosemite! Planning with us for over a year, the couple envisioned a ceremony with vines in the background, a tea ceremony honoring their parents, and a relaxing lunch reception. The parents secretly planned a Polish tradition during the reception where the bride and groom first eat bread with salt, and then are given the choice of drinking a clear liquid in a shot glass -- they must choose which glass to drink and then quickly figure out if it was water or Vodka! The person who ends up drinking the Vodka will be the predominant decision-maker in the marriage. The couple skipped the final part of the tradition which is to throw the glasses, hoping that they will break as a sign of good fortune! The couple told us that the wedding day was beyond their expectations, and we were thrilled to create an exceptional experience for them. From the guitar music to the customized ceremony, dying silk ribbon for the bouquet to setting up the Polish rituals, our team loved every moment of this couple's joyful day.
